It runs smoothly on my DELL 8900 PC and I use it all the time. If it runs on your particular setup it is a very useful program. It has gone from a lightweight single image editing plugin to a supposedly fully fledged Lightroom competion (ludicrous as they never had a stable codebase as the foundation of doing so) to an AI driven mess that relies heavily on glorified AI (buzzword) filters that are more stupid than the average slug… They are conceptual, just look at the development direction changes that Luminar has undergone in the past years. On1 Photo RAW is nothing more than a glorified preset manager. The market is SO ready for a replacement to Photoshop and this is a great, great alternative when it works. why do they call it "Luminar"? I can't be the only one whose Pavlovian response to that is "Zeiss". Tried to give it a fair shot (on PC) but it only took a few days to request a refund. I'm another who purchased the pre-order a couple years ago.

You aint seen nothing yet, the Windows version is far worse… No other software I use has these problems. There is no reason for this to be so screwed up. So with any update you may kiss your edits goodbye because the pipeline may have endlessly changed again.Ī complete train wreck. It may do now but use the wrong filter, import the wrong photo, export in the wrong format for the image, import too many skies - and bam, it‘s over and your catalog is history along with all previous edits… It’s an absolute mess and the Rendering pipeline has changed more often than some people change underwear. Definitely noise reduction is superb, but so is sharpening and many other things it excels at. But you should check out the full version of DxO PhotoLab, it's well worth the money. Not a finished article yet, but DxO's noise mitigation technology is a cut above the rest.Ĭould not agree more.

Some weeks ago I bought DxOPureRAW and it was money well spent. It lies on my computer unused.Įverything Luminar AI does I can do much better in Adobe ACR + Photoshop together with Tony Kuyper's Luminosity/Colour mask panels and some other plugins. After I tested the product I decided I had no use for it. I had purchased Luminar AI during the pre-order phase before its release. I am pulling my hair out because I had produced a tutorial series and when I went in to demonstrate the sky replacement feature it crashes. Idiotic sing-songy corporate-speak responses indicating "Thank you for reaching out.yammer yammer yammer". Went to the "Community Forum" and 'lo and behold 98 posts on the same problem. Then, inexplicably, it started to crash when I used the Sky Replacement feature and will not load no matter what I do.

Installed it and it worked fine for a few days.
